In 2016 our son was born with VACTERL. I had no idea what to do, or where to turn. I made my first appointment with Anne when she was working at Kapiolani Medical Center. I walked into her office feeling pretty dejected, but hopeful at the same time. Would I finally be getting the help I so desperately needed? Would this woman have the answers to my problems so life with an ostomy would be uncomplicated, even joyful, like all the brochures said? Well, Anne tackled my problems with the expertise of someone with many years in the field and we continued to meet regularly.
I was sent to see Anne at Hawaii Wound, Ostomy & Continence Services and over a six-month period, it finally healed. While under her care I was able to get another pair of compression wraps to use over both legs (thigh and lower legs).
